HOMOWO LECTURE

The Osu District Committee on Ecumenical and Social Relations (ESR) will hold its annual Homowo Lecture on Wednesday, 14th August, 2019 at the Osu Eben-Ezer Presbyterian Churh, Rev. Carl Reindorf Auditorium at 6pm sharp. In 2016, the topic was “REMEMBERING THE LIVING-DEAD: A CHRISTIAN RESPONSE TO THE OFFERING OF KPOKPOI TO THE DEPARTED” In 2018, the topic was “YESU, AN?KWALE WALA ?MAA: THE SIGNIFICANCE OF ?MAADUM? FOR THE CHRISTIAN FAITH. The Greek literary and philosophical tradition bear witness to God’s faithfulness. Is it possible to see in Ga pre-Christian prayers, songs and proverbs evidence of God’s self-disclosure?
